Meet Our Team
Jay
CEO
While working as a UPS Driver in the 90’s Jay took a side interest in PC gaming and hardware. The desire to learn more brought opportunities to work for a National Computer Company that needed a Warehouse/Inventory person. That was the perfect time to branch out and start something new.
With a few years spent working for National Brands, he saw the need for a Northwest IT Supplier, built for local needs. With help and advice from many friends and colleagues Jay started U-PC Wholesale in the summer of 2000 and moved into its current location the next year.
With 24 Years of hands-on IT Hardware experience Jay is a leader in the local IT industry. His passion for the field and eye for detail has put U-PC where it is today.
In Jay’s free time you will find him tinkering with Muscle Cars, going to Sporting Events, Gaming, enjoying the outdoors or playing Poker with his buddies.
George
Software/Inside Technician
Primarily working in the software industry, George sits at the forefront of hardware testing and development for mobile computing platforms. His experience includes development with platforms such as: Windows CE 4.1, 5.2, Microsoft PocketPC 2000, 2003, 2005, and Android 3.0-10. Additionally, he works daily with database and IDEs such as MongoDB, Microsoft SQL, Visual Studio and VS Code. In pursuing a new interest he is the point contact within the company for services maintained within Microsoft Azure, such as application services, hosted virtual machines, IIS, managed database instances and Kubernetes.
Bringing experience from working in retail computers from 1998 – 2003, He adds a background in hardware support to UPC. Since 2006, George has been assisting UPC with technical repairs, system refurbishment and new system building.
To escape the computer realm, he spends his time Mountain Biking, Snowboarding, Skiing, Hiking, and flying model aircraft.
Scott
Network Engineer/Onsite Technician
Scott started his interest in IT at a young age while playing Number Munchers and Oregon Trail on an Apple IIe in the 80’s. His interest in IT brought him to Computer Guruz in 2002. In 2008 Scott purchased Computer Guruz after the company founder, Paul Botzon passed away.
Computer Guruz went from a repair company to an all out IT Solutions company while surviving the economy crash of 2009-2010.
With 20 years of experience working onsite with clients at both their homes and business Scott has developed skills to work closely with people in their time of need. He also brings solutions that will help assure that your business and systems work when you need them most. Scott is known to burn the candle on both ends to assure that you can focus on family and business, NOT systems! Except Sunday, on Sunday he plays golf…
Frankee

Jay brought Frankee to us in 2008, Frankee was our Mascot, Greeter & Best Friend here at U-PC Wholesale from 2008-2020
He was loved by everyone and had a huge following here. People would stop in just to see him and drop off a treat or just visit with him. If he didn’t get your attention when you came in, he would by the time you left!
He was a big lover boy and very social and we miss him very much!
